As a teenager, my family sat in many therapists’ offices.
My sister (who is awesome!) seemed angry, and my parents couldn’t figure out how to parent her differently from how they had parented me.
It was a wild ride for a while, so we went to therapy.
Those therapists didn’t get us. They got nothing… and they didn’t seem too interested to learn. The therapy proved to be costly, time-consuming, ineffective, and stigmatizing. I thought, “I could do this better.”
Education and experience…
For the past 25 years, I have been searching for and learning about every way to make therapy better. As a Ph.D. student, post-doc fellow, clinician, researcher, and Assistant Professor, I’ve developed a broad understanding of the many therapies available.
It wasn’t until I learned about Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) in 2010 that I finally found the transformative therapy I was looking for. RRT helps people of all ages function free of the burdens of psychological struggles. It is much quicker, less demanding, and more effective than any other therapy I’ve encountered.
I now practice RRT exclusively and have seen over and over how dramatically it changes people’s lives. I am a Certified RRT Specialist, having undergone over 300 hours of RRT training. I now teach people all over the country how to use the innovative technique. I am also the lead researcher on a project at the University of Colorado, exploring the efficacy of RRT therapy with survivors of sexual assault.
I am passionate about what I do because RRT achieves meaningful, lasting breakthroughs in peoples’ functioning without the hassle, intensive time commitment, and expense of traditional therapy.
